Personal
data is collected by Reperes Second Life:
- during
registration at our panel
- after
registration, when we ask panel members to enter additional
information in order to be able to invite them to appropriate
surveys in the future
- when
taking part in one of our surveys.
In
order to become a panel member you will be asked, in a
registration survey, to enter personal and general information.
We ask for your e-mail address in order to be able to
send you invitations to participate in future surveys
by e-mail. Other information we collect, such as name,
gender and activities in Second Life, is used to assign
people to appropriate market research projects.
USE
OF PERSONAL DATA
Reperes
Second Life is contracted by market research organizations,
manufacturers and wholesalers to carry out surveys. The
information collected in these surveys is treated strictly
confidential and provided to our customers in an anonymised
form. Member IDs are replaced with individual identifying
codes. Reperes Second Life alone has access to the associated
member names. In addition, Reperes Second Life provides
data on population statistics, personal interests and
behaviour of its members in order to be able to optimise
the service it provides through a better understanding
of its member structure. This information is collected
and analyzed as a whole only.
By
becoming a Reperes Second Life panel member you are giving
your consent to receive e-mails which invite you to take
part in surveys.
TRANSFER
OF PERSONAL DATA

Second Life only shares personal information with other
companies or individuals outside of Reperes Second Life
in the following limited circumstances:

Second Life provides such information to their subsidiaries,
affiliated companies or other trusted businesses or
persons for the purpose of processing personal information
on Reperes Second Life’s behalf. Reperes Second
Life requires that these parties agree to process such
information based on Reperes Second Life’s instructions
and in compliance with these guidelines and any other
appropriate confidentiality and security measures.
SECURITY
Reperes
Second Life has security measures in place to protect
the loss, misuse and alteration of the data under our
control. In addition, access to Reperes Second Life servers
is limited by security measures including, without limitation,
firewall software and password protection.
PROTECTION
FROM WEB CRAWLERS AND SPAM
Reperes
Second Life guarantees that we will only use your e-mail
address with your express permission for the uses described
in the condition of use. We will not sell your e-mail
address to third parties and will prevent your e-mail
address from being captured by web crawlers and spiders
to the extent that it is within our capability to do so.
CHANGES
TO THESE PRIVACY GUIDELINES
By
joining Reperes Second Life panel, you consent to the
collection and use of the information you disclose on
the site by Reperes Second Life. If we decide to change
our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this
page so that you are always aware of the information we
collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we
disclose it.
UNSUBSCRIBE
You
can unsubscribe at any time. To do so, click on unsubscribe
